Forklift Examination
A forklift thorough examination is the equivalent of a car’s MOT and is a mandatory check that needs to be carried out. The forklift exam (sometimes referred to as forklift LOLER) is carried out to ensure the mechanical parts of your forklift are in safe working order.
This is a compulsory requirement and should not be confused with general maintenance or servicing. Even if you have recently serviced your forklift, a LOLER and PUWER inspection will be required to ensure your unit is fully inspected.
Forklift LOLER Inspection
Trucks Direct UK ensure all forklift thorough inspections are carried out by a competent person. The inspection must occur every 12 months (depending on the forklift) and the forklift must be put through both the LOLER and PUWER inspection to ensure the unit is fit for purpose. We ensure that your unit is inspected by officially accredited personnel, using the distinctive ‘thorough examination’ Kitemark on completion.
